Happy 58th Merdeka Day to All MALAYSIANS.
The 2015 KL International Open Chess Competition which began yesterday received some media coverage in the run-up to the event in articles by The Malay Mail, on Technical Meeting day and Day 1 by "The ASEAN 500". Yesterday, the crew of Capital TV, Channel 420 which is aired on Hypp TV-UNIFI led by Azah Sahrin were spotted in the Ballroom for around 45minutes to 1 hour.
At a time when its difficult to get any coverage for chess events in the media not only in Malaysia but elsewhere internationally and especially under the prevailing circumstances in Malaysia, we're thankful for the media coverage extended. The 2015 KL Open Organising Committee and KLCA's President as well as EXCO members would like to thank members of the media corps who had in one way or another provided coverage or assisted with the KL Open 2015.
